Welcome Message

It is a great honor for us to welcome all our colleagues and students to the Second International Symposium in Plant Soil and Microorganism, organized by the Center of Plant, Soil Interaction and Natural Resources Biotechnology and the Center of Amelioration and Sustainability of Volcanic Soils, belonging to the Scientific and Technological Bioresource Nucleus (BIOREN-UFRO). On behalf of BIOREN-UFRO and the Sociedad Chilena de la Ciencia del Suelo, we are pleased to invite you to participate in this event, which will be held at Universidad de La Frontera-Pucón, from November 24 to 26, 2014.

The symposium will be devoted to discuss new knowledge in the rhizosphere interactions among soil, plant and microorganisms. The symposium is addressed to environmental chemist, microbiologist, ecologist, applied biologist, plant biotechnologist, chemical ecologists and soil scientist to share information, identify gaps in knowledge, and stimulate the interaction in areas of the common interest. They will have the opportunity to present their researches along with distinguished international invited scientist (see Invited Speakers).

We want to acknowledge all participants that will contribute to this event, in particular to our invited speakers. We also want to thank to the Universidad de La Frontera and all collaborators involved in the organization of the Second International Symposium.
